ABOUT

AM SMART Conference ‘26

CONFERENCE

Connect, learn and shape the future of AM-Smart technologies

The AM-SMART community brings together researchers, engineers and industry professionals passionate about advancing smart materials, adaptive structures and additive manufacturing technologies.

The inaugural AM-SMART Conference was held at the University of Twente from 14–16 September 2026. Over three days, the conference featured keynote presentations, technical sessions, research discussions and networking. It provided an international platform for sharing new research, discussing emerging technologies and strengthening connections across the AM-SMART community.

We would like to thank all speakers, presenters, participants, sponsors and partners who contributed to making AM-SMART 2026 possible. Take a look back at some of the highlights from the conference on our photo page.

Lifetime Achievement Award

The AM-SMART Lifetime Achievement Award recognises individuals whose sustained contributions have had a lasting impact on the advancement of additive manufacturing, smart materials and related fields.

We would like to take this opportunity to congratulate all three award recipients and recognise their distinguished contributions to shape memory materials, their development and application, and their integration with additive manufacturing.
